Small-Group culinary and wine tour of Dalmatia. This tour is inspired by centuries of tradition, culture and heritage of producing wine in Dalmatia. Through this tour you will discover roots of Zinfandel wine, wines of exceptional quality and complexity which will give you a taste of Dalmatian history. Take a sip of Dalmatia!

Day 1:
After arriving at Split airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2:
After early breakfast you will meet your tour guide and start your wine tour with visit to Kaštela nearby Split – home of old, almost forgotten, authentic wine sort, Crljenak. The importance of this sort lies in the fact that it is a parent to widely known and respected Zinfandel and Italian Primitivo. During the visit to Kaštela vineyards and cellars you will be introduced to the history of Croatia wine making.

Day 3:
After a short catamaran trip you will continue the tour on the island of Hvar, home to the most well known wine of Dalmatia, Plavac Mali, a cross between ancestral Zinfandel, Crljenak Kaštelanski, and Dobričić grapes. This wine truly reflects the character of Dalmatia – hot, temperamental, gorgeous, sharp, slightly rustic and absolutely unique. Overnight stay on Hvar island.

Day 4:
After breakfast, meet up with your tour leader and continue your adventure on the streets of Hvar. Today, it is center of island’s tourism and one of the favorite destinations in Dalmatian riviera. After walking tour of the city, afternoon will be at leisure while the return to Split is planned by evening ferry.

Day 5:
In the morning you can enjoy guided private tour of Split old town. 1700 years old Diocletian palace, one of the best preserved roman residences in the world. St Duje Cathedral, Jupiter’s Temple, green market are only several places that you will visit during the tour. The tour will end in Paradox, Dalmatia’s finest Wine & Cheese Bar, set in the heart of old town of Split. Wine & Cheese Bar Paradox offers a comprehensive wine list featuring some of the best wines from Dalmatia & Croatia as well as unique selection of cheeses.

Day 6:
Continue your adventure on the island of Brač and its vineyards. Brač is the largest island in Dalmatia, just off the coast of Split. In landscape, Brač is similar to its well known neighbor Hvar with its rolling hills, pine and fig trees, isolate bays and clear water. Brač is famous for its wines, the most famous being Bolski Plavac. After the wine tasting, lunch with a variety of traditional Dalmatian dishes and some of the best wines will be served in one of the Brač taverns. Return to Split is planned in the evening.

Day 7:
To round up your experience of Dalmatia, a visit to Klis Ethno Village is organized. This extremely attractive destination for both local and foreign tourists is surrounded by mountains and untouched nature in the close vicinity of Split. There will be a culinary workshop with your own personal chef who will teach you how to prepare some of the most famous traditional Dalmatian dishes using homemade ingredients.
