If you are new to jewelry-making and interested in learning the craft then this 3-hour workshop is perfect for you. During the lesson, you will be introduced to basic hand and mechanical jewelry tools as you use them to create different surface textures and shapes. You will be able to understand each tool's specific usage in order to acquire distinct visual aesthetics. This private tour for up to 6 guests will ensure close attention from your private instructor. Intuitive and lighthearted teaching style ensures that you can work at your pace learning style whether you’re a visual, tactile or auditory learner.
To get started, you will have an option to take a walk or hop on a bicycle on your way to the jewelry store where this workshop will take place. Either way, a pleasant stroll or a ride towards the workshop will be nice overture into what will be prepared for you there.
Once you arrive at the jewelry store, you will be introduced to your instructor who will show you around and definitely get you interested in the secrets of the trade.
Your experienced instructor will teach you about jewelry making, and tell interesting stories about how jewelry used to be made. Replicas of ethno and restored jewelry pieces are our instructor's passion who is already a third generation jewelers in his family. You will hear all about new jewelry making techniques, as well as witness beauty of some unique traditional works.
Private jewellery fabrication classes will help you learn and retain more information because you will always have the full attention of your instructor. This allows you to instantly ask questions, receive answers and work quietly when needed. In the end, you’ll not only acquire a technique but also why it works the way it does.
Tools are discussed and much attention is paid to the various basic silversmiths techniques such as; filing, sawing, soldering and patinising.
You will also learn more about design, dimensions and how to work accurately, make a piece of jewelry on your own by following instructions of your experienced instructor/craftsman. Another benefit of this workshop is that you get to buy the piece you made during the workshop and choose from vast number of displayed items at the jewelry store.
Your workshop will end around 12pm.
